My new goal in life:

Marry Michael Phelps. Yup... haha! Watching the olympics, haven't we all fallen in love with Michael Phelps? Is he not amazing? So I pretty much love that his daily routine is wake up, eat, swim, watch tv, go to sleep. That sounds like a fabulous routine. In discussing this plan of mine with my good friend Brendan, I realized a potential problem though. I'm afraid of swimming. Remember when I was a young child and almost died in the Springgay's pool? Ya... I don't swim. Maybe marrying an olympic swimmer isn't REALLY the best option for me. But hey, for a few minutes, it was a great lifetime goal. Was it not?

Just watching the man myself -- I think he's so fun to watch and so gracious about things too. Great goal, Marce!!!

How funny, Marci. I think he's awesome too...

When I watch him I'm usually picking apart his technique, trying to figure out what makes him so fast. It's a fun family activity. Try it.

I am so SORRY to say I have been completely out of the loop on the olympic swimming. I saw a bit of gymnastics last night, but I am a little underwater with trying to wrap myself around my new YW calling. We had a great luau last night, and I am getting to know the girls a bit--but my Laurel advisor is out of town for the next 2 Sundays, so guess who gets to teach? Got any suggestions, Laurel Advisors of the world?

Keep making those goals Marci! You crack me up. I heard today that his diet has him eating about 10,000 calories a day. Whao...he's got to burn calories moving his mouth as much as he does just to eat!
I've completely missed the Olypics so far though. I told my roommate I'd try tuning in some time tonight. I'll be keeping my eyes open for Mr. Phelps!

Second comment: I watched Michael Phelps. He does look like a terrific catch, but what's he like on the inside? Have you seen interviews of him, etc? I only saw the one that says his legs are the length of a normal 6' 0" guy, and his arms are extremely long; that his hand span is as big as a dinner plate and his feet (size 14) are actually flippers in disguise. He is a great young man. We can be proud to claim him. Have a safe trip today!

Hi Marci! It's Sarah Lovealot! (fine, Loveless) I think if you want to be Marci Phelps, you'll have to work on converting him now. Tell him you want to show him the cutest little swimming pool in the world and challenge him to a race in it. When you get him in the water (wearing white of course - you're creative, you can figure out a way to get him in the proper attire), I'll have Matt there to baptize him when he goes under. Or do you think that would seem weird?
