Prom...

Well... it's official! I'm going to PROM!! This week was super exciting, Tuesday morning as I went out to my car to go to seminary there was a piece of paper on the windsheild that said "Have you been thinking about PROM? Cause I sure have... there's more to come"... I waited and waited until Wednesday night for the "more to come" part. As I was going to bed I decided to go check the porch/car, and as I opened the door there was a bag. In this bag were some super random objects and a card telling me the 6 ways to have the BEST prom EVER. The last thing on the list was Going to Prom with Allen. A little birdy told me last week that he was going to ask me, so I wasn't surprised, but I was excited!

Problem was... that was at 10:45 pm that I found it, and he had a flight at 11:00 am the next day to Orlando for a DECA trip. So... a few minutes after I found the bag, I called him (he didn't answer his cell) and left him a message along the lines of "hmmm, it's 11, I just found the bag you left me, and tomorrow you're leaving for your trip. sounds like you're just gonna have to wait til you get back for my response. have an awesome trip, see you in a week!"

I have yet to create my response, but I'm getting there. I have to drop it off to his house, or give it to his bro at school by Monday night so I can feel confident it will get to the right place before he gets home.

Today Prom became more real... the past few days I've been looking at dresses with mom, trying on dresses that friends have, and trying to figure out what to do about it. Yesterday Mom went to Joann's and bought some patterns to show me that she could make me my prom dress. Today we went together to JoAnn's and picked out my fabric! My dress is going to be "cornflower blue", it's a lot prettier then it sounds. Right after that, we went and found my shoes...

We then went to Macy's to look at purses. They didn't have any small evening bags, so I came home and got online. I found this one at JCPenny's. I haven't gone yet to get it, I'll take a detour on my way home from work tomorrow.

Mom is working on a mock bodice for my dress tonight. Hopefully we'll get it all figured out and then she can work on the real thing soon!

I'll get pictures of all of these things up soon... I could post links to my shoes and purse if you really wanted to see them... but I'll wait for now!

I'm WAY excited! Today has been AMAZING

hmmmm, it's been a fun week

Well... this week was WASL week number 2, my favorite schedule of all time! Seminary, go home, school starting at 11:05 and ending at 2:01. Basically the best idea of "school" I could think of! This week has been pretty sweet, here are some highlights of my week:

Monday- I went to the Relient K/Mae/Sherwood concert which was absolutely AMAZING! I did get a few bruises, but it was so worth it! I love all three of those bands so much!

Tuesday- I had a massage, followed by the best mutual activity I've been to in a long time. For our joint activity we had a Road Rally. My group was 4 Teachers, 1 Priest, and ME! We were running all over town solving riddles and taking pictures. Blake and I ran all over the place together and it was a lovely time!

Wednesday- I had an appointment with my culminating project teacher so I could do a practice presentation for her. It was at 7:30. I went straight there after seminary, she looked at me and saw how tired I was, and asked me to come back Friday morning at 9:30. It was pretty sweet to not have to do my presentation. I also cleaned my room, the bathroom, went to work and had a lovely time. My visiting teachers took mom and I out to dessert along with the other ladies they visit. We went to Claim Jumper and had an AMAZING time! It was possibly the best visit ever!
ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT: Once Janyse and her family got here, they gave me a present! This present is possibly one of my favorites now: my very own ROCKING ROCKING PONY, like the one that Taryn got for Christmas, except that my pony is pink not white like Taryns! She brought her pony too, so we've had races and gone riding together... basically, I love my pony. You can expect pictures posted of my pony, but that will have to be done at home where the pictures are!

Thursday- I didn't go to school. Janyse was here (and she still is) so I hung around the house, had her take me to work, and then came home. Syd, Tyler and I went to DI to do community service for our Government class. We sorted books, priced them, and shelved them. This was a lot more fun than it sounds. The three of us enjoyed each others company while we were there, but on the way home it turned a bit interesting :D

Friday- I didn't feel very good, and since I didn't go to school on Thursday, I emailed my Culminating Project teacher and asked if I could postpone my practice presentation again since I was not ready and didn't want to waste her time. She was very understanding and told me that I would have a few chances during school to work with her. She also said she wasn't worried about my presentation because she's seen all my work, that was nice! I also had a massage and went babysitting. I got to drive Janyse's van which I LOVE! Everyone and there mother should drive vans, I can't wait til I'm older and will most definitely be driving a van :D

Today- I woke up, came to work, and now I sit here blogging, hoping that the phone doesn't ring. After work I'm goin home to chill with the family for a while. Then I have a Cumorah's Hill practice which should be awesome! I can't wait for it! After the practice is a dance that I'm not staying for because I have an awesome night all planned out. I'm doing something with Tyler, but he won't tell me what... but I am supposed to wear my Spiderman shirt. That sounds pretty promising to me!

I also need to finish writing my essay for government on why Reagan was the best president since FDR. This should be a fun paper to write, and I'm pretty sure that Mr. Cassidy does NOT want to go through and read all of our papers, but it's not my fault he assigned the essay to us!

I think that's enough for me... peace!

From Cumorah's Hill

Today I got my phone call regarding call backs and if I got a part or not. To you all, this may not make much sense... but I have one of the verses in Power of God, and because of the part I have I get an acting part too!

There is a scene where a professor is teaching his class that there is no God, and then it flashes to the end of the semester where he asks if anybody still believes in God. I get to be the ONE student who still believes in God and I basically get to just bear my testimony on how I know there is a God.

I wasn't really feeling an acting part, but this should be AWESOME! I'm so excited for this part, hopefully on Saturday at our rehersal I will get to find out more, like who the other two girls are in the trio with me, and if we're in each performance or just one. This is really exciting! YAY!

I felt bad about not blogging on Saturday while I was at work, so as I sat at the cmputer writing an essay about Halloween I figured I would blog. We moved offices at work this week and the computers weren't hooked up. The server wasn't working until 4 on Saturday, and i normally leave at 3:30, so there was no way to blog.

There wasn't a whole lot to blog about, but it is tradition for me to blog on Saturday. Today we went to church at Maple Valley to hear Lauren speak. I went to Sunday School with Matt and Katrina, it was CRAZY! I love knowing people in the wards I visit. I guess that if I hadn't known them I would've just gone back to Aunt Paula's house like everybody else did and that would have been fun too, but I LOVED seeing Katrina and talking to her during Sunda School and YW. Basically a highlight to my week.

This week is WASL week again, every day but MONDAY! And MONDAY is the day I'm going to a concert with Jenna. I'm stoked to see Mae, it should be AMAZING! If i remember to take my camera, I'll take pictures... I forgot that at the last concert Jen and I went to.

I guess that's all from me. I just want to tell you all how much I don't like Halloween. Writing about how much I loved it when I was 10 reminded me how much I don't like it now.

So Happy!

So, I've decided that it's posts like my last one about Harry Potter that make me laugh! Not only is it funny to read it again and see how intense I was about Snape being a VERY BAD MAN, but I love the reactions from my sisters and Nettie... That's the other thing! I love when Val's in-laws comment on my blog, it makes me feel better about reading their blogs daily. I feel less like a stalker when I see Nettie comment on my blog, as I have been beginning to feel like Morgan is my niece... haha, oh I love blogs.

Other things that make me so happy include JENNA BEING HOME! My Jennabenna came home on Saturday, which was pretty much the highlight of my Spring Break. Right when she got home I went to their house, until her parents sent us to the grocery store. So pretty much we chilled at Safeway, then went back to their house, unpacked her stuff, then watched Man of the Year with her parents. I've missed hanging out at their house all the time, her parents crack me up! And that movie was pretty funny too, and perfect for what we're learning in Government right now, I brought the movie up in class today and made Mr. Cassidy laugh/smile... a task that is hard to do! ALSO... I wore my new dress from Target on Sunday, and so many people commented on it, it made me really happy. So, I'll be wearing that dress on Sunday when we go down to Maple Valley to hear Lauren speak in Sacrament Meeting. I'm so excited, oh man alive!

Well... love to you all, I've got other blogs to go catch up on!

SNAPE is a very bad man

I preordered my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yesterday at Borders. I got a sticker for preordering... it says "SNAPE is a very bad man". I got to choose between that and one that said he was a friend.

I think Snape is a very bad man... I can't get over the feelings I've held against him since Harry first attended Hogwarts. Is this something I need to repent of? I know you're not supposed to have bad feelings about people, but he's just a character in abook, so I figure it doesn't count towards my eternal progression... What are your takes on Snape? Harry Potter in general? Who's excited for it to come out? July 21st is just around the corner!

SNAPE IS A VERY BAD MAN

Insurance Policies that ROCK

So my friend Brandon and I were talking today about his Insurance Policy for the job he's taking in a week or two. He'll be in Texas selling something like house alarms or something (i don't really remember). So he was taking a break from studying for his finals so he could read his insurance policy, and then he had to get online and tell me about it... it's sad!

This is what he learned:
-If he dies, he gets $5000
-If he loses both hands or feet or eyes, he gets $5000
-If he loses one hand, eye, or foot, he gets $2500
-If he becomes disabled, he gets $10,000
-$5000 if he becomes paraplegic
and the keyword to him was "we will pay indemnities"

basically, he was super depressed that his life meant so little... that he could lose his hand and not be able to play the guitar/sports/breakdance and all he'd have for it is $2500. This was not meant to be a serious post, but rather remind me of the hilarious conversation that he and I had.

Do any of you have any crazy cool/funny/depressing statements in your insurance? or in any insurance policy you have ever had?

This is my 50th Post...

The title has absolutely nothing to do with what I was going to blog about, but I thought it was interesting when I logged in that this would be my 50th post. I'd just like to inform you all on that matter :D

What I was going to say... was how funny it is that it is through MSN Messenger and blogs that I get to know my siblings. Since I don't know my sisters too well, having only lived with them when I was pretty young, I learn awesome new things about them online. Having my brothers all close by I see them fairly regularly, but I love the crazy things I learn about my ssitsers. The other day for example... I was talking online with Val, and we came to the realization that we both LOVE Jack Johnson. It was intense as we talked about this, both so excited that we found another Jack Johnson lover! oh man alive!

That pretty much was what I wanted to say. i love jack johnson!

Last night!

So last night I found something that the kids (Paige, Katie, and Ryan) are super good at that I just could NOT do! Paul called and invited me to go to the park with them to play with some rocket launchers (i think that ryan had gotten for his bday) and I was really excited. There were two different kinds... one that you stomp on with your feet and ones that you launched with your hands. I could do the stomping one on my first attempt, but I could NOT get the hang of the other ones. The girls tried to show me how to do it, but I still couldn't do it! I started laughing and so did everybody else. Paul thought I was a loser, and I pretty much was. These toys were for kids, and here is Marci, 18 years old, not able to launch a silly rocket. By the time we left, I finally got the hang of it, but I don't know if I'd be able to do it again...

Then I went to Paul's and chilled with them for a while, listened to storytime and helped sing to the girls at bedtime. Then we watched Pursuit of Happyness. That's a sad movie, but we thought of ways it could've been more sad. Oh man. Depressing night.

Yesterday was pretty tight though! I went to work, got my eyebrows waxed, went to the chiropractor, finished a book, and hung out with Paul's fam. Now if only I could get those scholarships over with... I know that once I start really working on them they'll be a piece of cake, but I don't want to sit down and work on them. ACK!

In 2 hours I'm going shopping with Danielle, a girl that has been in my English class for the last 2 years. I'm super excited for this, but then I'm going to work. It's sad to think that Spring Break is almost over... I've done some pretty cool things over break so far though, if I can get atleast 1 of the scholarships applied for I'll feel pretty good about this week! YAY ME!

Hey, Thanks!

So thanks to Val, Janyse and Joanne for there comments, inspiring me to blog more! Haha, I'm loving it very much. It's nice to know that people actually read my random writings! This week has been fantastic already! Monday I worked for 6 hours, the only bad thing was the number of paper cuts I got. Today I worked for 5 hours, went hiking with mom and dad, got a massage, went to a City Council Meeting, and now I'm here. It's been an AMAZING day! Work was fantastic, they had me checking inventory which was a mindless task, I loved it. Our hike was pretty sweet, Snoqualmie is so pretty! My massage... oh my goodness! I've been going to the chiropracter regularly since my car accident and he told me yesterday that his massage therapist had an appointment available tonight, so I took it! Oh man alive I'm so glad I did. It was one of the best hours of my life! I loved it so much that I'm going back on Friday. It will be perfect, I'll get another massage, Jenna will come back on Saturday... the perfect ending for my spring break! And... atleast now I have something cool to say besides just "i went to work every day!" I always like to do something interesting that I can tell about after break.

I've decided that I'd like to become more educated in the art of City Council Meetings. They are quite interesting, but I don't really understand what they are talking about. I think I'll be going to their website and reading into a bit, and catching up on past agendas because they keep talking about past issues. I think that even though my two meeting requirement for my government class has been met, I want to continue attending the meetings. Kinda crazy, I know... but getting "involved" in city government is kinda cool!

Tonight at the meeting they were making some proposal that will hopefully help reduce the amount of reported child abuse incidents and the president of the city council looked up at the 4 high school seniors that were there and said something like "we hope to make this issue known to the public so more will come out to vote in november" as if she was hoping that we would vote! I'm so excited!!!

OH! That reminded me (i was thinking of voting) that on my last government test (about voter behaviors) that I GOT AN A! I actually got an a on a cassidy test! I'm super stoked about that, hopefully I can get a few more of those so I can raise my grade a little!

Well.. I'm out... I've got some scholarships to apply for!
