Mom

Good story, that makes mom sound really silly.

I was playing on Webkinz today, and I was in Quizzy's Corner answer questions... age level 5-6, theme: Language. Mom helped me pick that one. We were doing really well, I'm rackin in the dough... and then this question comes on:

"Which word ends with the same two letters as lock?"

Sounds simple enough, right? I don't remember what all my answers were, but mom looked at them, and then said "TALK" so I pushed it... not really thinking.

Thanks mom, Talk does NOT end in the same two letters as lock. The correct answer was dock, which also ends in "CK". Mom made me lose a dollar.

I just thought everyone needed to know, that mom thinks talk and lock end in the same two letters.

Alright...

So... you wanted pictures. Paul & Jeanne have seen this and heard about it over Thanksgiving. But over the summer Troy went to Europe for what sounds like forever... I don't know where this pic was taken. He also didn't shave, all summer. He'd be excited to know that you all get to see him with his amazing beard.

Here is another pretty awesome pic of Troy... at the BYU/Utah game. And here is a picture of us together. Christie took this like 2 seconds before Troy left to go home for Christmas. Maybe after break we'll take a better one... when neither one of us is tired.

And because mom asked in a comment on a post that I deleted, he's from Salem, Oregon.

I'll Have You Know...

I'm supposed to be over at the HBLL (Harold B. Lee Library) aka... my new best friend right now. I should be studying for my last final, which I will be taking in a few hours. HOWEVER... The biggest shock of my life came as I checked blogs (which I do every morning before I leave...): Bryan has a blog, Traci put up tons of pictures, and Janyse posted pictures of Otter. I was shocked at the amount of activity among our blogs, and I was persuaded to blog myself.

Last night was our apartment's "Girls Night In". It's a big deal, we kick out everyone that does not pay to live in our apartment, and lock ourselves in. We ordered pizza from Tomassitos and ate a ton of other food. We had our White Elephant gift exchange. The gift I got was amazing... it was the Winter 2008 Bridal Guide, a bouquet of fake white roses, a ring pop, and one of those wedding cake candles. We all laughed really hard and started looking through the Bridal Guide. Wow. I really wanted to get he Troy Bolton poster, but Kelli ended up with it- I might end up going back to Walmart to get the High School Musical one... it was just that amazing! Also at girls night in, we always do some crazy activity. This month, our activity was shaving our legs with Whipped Cream instead of shaving cream. Christie had been wondering for a while if it would work, and well... it does. My only problem was that I hadn't been shaving for like 2 weeks to get ready for this activity, so... my razor kept getting clogged, oh well. But our legs were a little smoother than normal, so no complaints. Oh, and... we smelled like vanilla after. The one problem was that it was a litle sticky.

I really need to stop blogging right now so I can go take my last final and get ready to party. It's going to be pretty crazy here for the next few days, I'll try to get some pictures of the festivities to put up for you all.

Bry- welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. =)

Roommates = LOVE!

For my birthday, I got a picture frame that says "You Are Loved" because our apartment's theme song is that Josh Groban song. Well, and we all just love each other. On the frame was a sticky note that said "insert picture of us here". Well, a month later, we still hadn't taken a picture to go in it. So, today, we fixed that. It's Kelli's birthday, so we went to Olive Garden for lunch. By Olive Garden there is this big bridge. Behind the big bridge is the bridge that we took pictures at. By the little bridge is a beauty school, and in their 'backyard' they had a gazebo. We've got pictures there too. Soooo... here are my super cute roommates and me. These are my favorites of all the pictures: L-R: Sarah, Jenny, Allison, Anna (our 7th roommate), Kelli, ME, Christie
back: Christie, Jenny, Me, Allison front: Kelli, Sarah
We love the gazebo! Christie, Marci, Anna, Kelli, Allison, Jenny, Sarah
The six of us girls! We love this picture! I was a little lazy and didn't want to walk in the snow to get inside the gazebo with them... so I just jumped onto the railing.

Now you all can see the girls. Now that we've taken these pictures, maybe I'll get some pictures of Troy so you all can see a better picture of him.

Christmas from the Home Teachers

Sarah and I have the cutest home teachers! They are amazing, come every month, and don't wait til the end of the month either. I came home the other night, and there was a cake on our table that said "Merry Christmas" in gummy bears on the top. This note was next to it. I had to put it up here, just to show you how amazing they are. PLUS, I wanted to test the scanner on my new printer! Hopefully this works well!

My 100th Post!

I used to think about how cool it would be to post my 100th post, but now, as I sit here in the HBLL, waiting for my ASL class to start, I'm realizing that my 100th post is going to be lame. Sorry to disappoint.

I still don't have pictures to put up here... once again, sorry to disappoint you. Within the next week I should have pictures, although they probably won't be posted until after finals. That's right... it's almost finals time! My first final is tomorrow, my ASL final, and the rest of my finals are next week. I was really stressed about them before, but now not so much...

Last night, Chris, Kelli, Troy & I made dinner together. There were flames (we'll see if we let Chris cook in our kitchen ever again) and we almost died ( of laughter, not because of the flames...). It was a nice break from studying for all of us...

I don't really know what else to say. Ummmm, I'll blog again when I've got pictures and something to say!

12.01.2007

SNOW!

It snowed last night/this morning. It's still snowing slightly. When I woke up at 10:30, Kelli & I went outside to play in the first GOOD snowfall of the year. We threw snow at each other, and at our kitchen. Then we decided to go through snow at Chris & Troy's window. How convenient that our boyfriends are roommates. Oh yeah, I have a boyfriend... and don't worry, he's not an RM.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well folks, it's the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Here I am, at Seatac, waiting for a flight to take off. After I sat down, my friend Jordan (from my byu ward) walked up to me and sat down. We're on the same flight home! Theeeen... Jessica Ranck & her brother Brenton walked by and sat down near me too. THere are like 20 gajillion other people around us that are from BYU, it's pretty much a BYU part at gate B10. This should be a lovely wait, as I drink my Coke and eat my Almond Roca (YUUUUM!).

I had a most excellent Thanksgiving at Paul & Jeanne's. I ate a lot of food, and it all tasted soooo good! The kids were adorable! I got to see Bryan twice. And I stayed up with Paul & Jeanne often. We saw The Bee Movie (hilarious!!!), I went to the U-District with some friends, we attempted to attack raccoons, and went in the hottub. Jen took me out to dinner last night, and came over and played games with us. Paul drove me past the house, it was weird.

It was a fantastic trip, I enjoyed being home again.

And to think, in a month, I'll be chillin in a different airport, headed somewhere else, to another one of my three homes!

My Birthday!

Here are some pics from last Sunday (aka... my birthday) At midnight, the roommates bursted into my room to sing to me, then they proceeded to jump onto my bed where we all posed for the camera. I really like that Sarah took it in black & white!
The whole family at dinner... well, except that Sarah was taking the picutre. She basically was the official photographer, she captured alot of good things. We're such a fun family! Garsh! We had lasagna, garlic bread, cesear salad, and ummmm, fruit salad!
We had two cakes, one that Troy made and one that Jenny made. The above pic is me smashing my face into my large slice of Troy's cake. Yep... I may have turned 19, but I didn't act like it!
I can't figure out how to make this picture turn, so you can turn your head to check this one out.... This was Jenny's cake. An amazing chocolate cake with a melted Symphony bar on top. I'm pretending to blow the candles out, since we can't light candles in the dorms. It was fantastic.

It was a good day, I was pretty excited. I got some way cool things from my FHE bros... some VHS's from DI.. The Backstreet Boys & Bob the Builder. And... some way cool children's books. Gosh I love those boys! The girls got me a picture frame that was engraved with "You Are Loved" referring to the Josh Groban song, which just happens to be our apartment's theme song. And they bought me fudge. I basically love them to death!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Corn

I used to eat a box of Pasta Roni every day. I haven't eaten that much Pasta Roni this week. I have moved onto canned corn. This is one of my favorite things to eat. My roommates make fun of me when I plug in the can opener and grab some corn, and then as I proceed to eat straight out of the can they make fun of me some more. It's great.

This is the can I ate today. It was pretty much amazing.

Halloween... 215 style

Regular readers of my blog may recall my cry for help from September. Pranks were needed. Well, tonight, our master prank was executed, absolutely incredible. We called ourselves Newspaper Ninjas. The prank... newspapering the hallway of the boys in 205, aka... the other half of The Clark Family.

We each chose war poses. Randomly throughout the night someone would yell "POSE" and you'd drop your newspaper to do your pose. This was our practice shot. We had to pick our pose before we got there. Left to Right we've got Christie, Anna (our 7th roommate), Me, Kelli. Jenny was our lookout, she was in a prom dress and she took the picture. Allison was gone with her Uncle, and Sarah... just wasn't home.
We waited near some bushes until we got the okay phone call from Nickolai, who checked out 205 to make sure nobody was home. While we waited, we took some pretty sweet shots, of us pretending to pull an Ocean's 11. We basically looked hecka tight. Unfortunately, Brendan, our accomplice, did not do a very good job at being our accomplice. Chris came in while we were newspapering the hallway. However, he was amused more than anything, and we convinced him to take some pictures of us. Here we are, halfway between the last two doors, so more than halfway done. Yeah, this took 1 1/2 hours to do, holy cow!We needed a picture of the end product. Here is Kelli, our head newspaper gatherer, with the lovely stacks. You can tell, it's just about as tall as her in tha tpart. Other parts of the hallway were filled even higher.
We were almost finished when one of the boys called to tell me he was on his way home, I kindly asked him to come over to our place because I wanted to talk to him... so I left the scene of the crime and went to hold him hostage. As soon as the girls finished they came back, and we all left together for the "crazy" dance party happening in our boys lobby. As we walked past the back door, we saw another one of the boys going in... We were very lucky, we barely made it.
In conclusion, we had a VERY Happy Halloween. We're kind of afraid of what they might do back to us, it could turn out very... not good. But hey, we started this war knowing that they would get us back!

Shelton

I don't really know what to blog about, but then again, when do I ever? I don't have any cool new pictures, and nothing too adventurous has happened this week.

Pasta Roni. This is a simple thing in life, but a simple thing that makes me very happy. As long as it is the green box (Angle Hair Pasta with Herbs) or the blue box (Chicken) I'm good to go. With around 1 cup of water (depending on the box), 1/4 cup of milk, 2 TBSP of butter, and some time in the microwave, I've got a grrreat meal. Today I went to Walmart with Steph & Troy, and Pasta Roni was 94 cents a box (much better than the price at the creamery). I bought a case of the green box, I was so excited. So was Kelli. I came home, showed her the box, and she hugged it. We LOVE Pasta Roni, very very much.

I figured something good to blog about. Our pet. Our family (The Clarks) got a pet this weekend. Sarah bought bananas the other day and on the sticker it showed a picture of a banana dog, and a pineapple dinosaur. Needless to say, we went to the website to check it out, and ordered both of them. The bananapup came in the mail yesterday. We named him Shelton. Rex, the Pinosaurus hasn't come yet, but should come on Monday apparently. We love Shelton very much. Very very much actually. We're really excited about having a pet, since most apartments here don't get to have pets. This is a picture of me and Shelton. When Rex gets here I'll post more pictures.

I've been kind of sick this week (read... I've been talking medicine for like 3 days now) which has kind of sucked, but I've probably gotten a lot more sleep this week than the last month combined (not quite, but it seems like it.)
Brendan is mad at me now for using my computer, he wants to finish watching a movie on it, so I'll blog more later. LOVE YOU!

The Clark Family

This is my FHE family... We're The Clarks. Christie, Troy & I made dinner tonight for the whole fam. We decided that it would be a fun family tradition to eat together on Fast Sunday, which means I get to eat with them all on my birthday next month! We're one happy family! Going clockwise starting with me:,

ME, Kelli, Kevin, Taylor (with the plate in front of his face), Andrew, Jenny, Chris, Sarah (behind the blur), Trevor (our dad) and Troy. Mom (Christie) was taking the picture, and Allison was at her Aunt's house, so it's not our full family, but atleast now you all can picture who I hang out with every Monday night, and randomly throughout the week.

The Ultimate Showdown

As promised... here are the results of The Ultimate Showdown:

Marci: 2
Brendan: 1

That's right family... you have the coolest little sister in the world!

I'll admit. Brendan actually won the pizza eating part of our contest, but I dominated in both other contests, so on Monday he will be wearing a shirt that says "I Lost a Pizza Eating Contest to Marci Krumperman."

I don't have pictures yet, but I wanted the world to know! I am the champion of the Ultimate Showdown

Training

In preparation for my upcoming Contracted Competition Extravaganza, Christie filmed my training session. This was my wardrobe... Our training was running up and down the RB stairs. I will never be able to look at them the same again. I have no clue how many times I ran up and down those bad boys!
You can't tell from the shirt in these pics, but the back says UNLEASH THE BEAST. You'll see that better in the video when I get it posted.
A close up of my face. Yes. This is after the training. I'm now ready for a hardcore nap! I love my roommates!!!

In a short 21 hours this competition will be well underway and in about 24 hours you should know the results (if you check my blog atleast). I'm getting pumped.

The Contracted Competition Extravaganza

For weeks (seriously, since the Saturday before we started school) I've been talking with Brendan about having a pizza eating contest (sort of like what I did at EFY last year...). We finally have it planned. It's an official event now. Tshirts will be made as soon as we get to Walmart to buy the white shirts & the iron-on transfer paper. (the above image will be on the shirt) I'm stoked. Last night we had a stake fireside and Brendan & Nickolai came over afterwards to finalize all the plans for our competition, here is a brief description of what will occur:

The Case of Representatives from 204 and 215
We, the undersigned, agree to participate and follow the rules of this contract. We agree to participate in said contests including but not limited to the following challenges:
1. A Pizza Consuming competition which will be judged on the following criteria:-the individual must consume more slices of pizza than werfs competitor in the timeframe of 15 minutes-a slice of pizza is defined as 1/8 of a medium pepperoni pizza not including the crust which will be used for measuring purposes.
2. There shall be a competition known as “Rock, Paper, Scissors” where the victor must win 13 of 25 possible games.

3. A competition involving friends

The non-victorious party, being the one that lost the majority of said events, must comply with the following penalty:
1. Must wear tube socks along with thong style flip flops and honor code complying shorts.
2. A shirt that has the message “I lost a pizza eating contest to (insert winners full name here)!”
3. The penalty shall be carried out throughout the day of Monday, October 1st, 2007.

I'm pretty stoked for this. We typed it all up officially, this is just a brief rundown of it. We signed it, had witness sign it, and will have this contest videotaped. I'm superly excited!

My Hiking Buddies

Left to Right:
Brendan Coutu, ME, Christie, Brendan Bresnan, Nathan, Kelli, Allison & Jenny.

Nickolai was taking the picture. This is pretty much my group. But normally Nathan is at work or hanging out with their FHE girls.

Make sure you look at the last few posts as well.. I know some of you just check the most recent one and don't bother scrolling down, but we have some good shots in their!

9.15.2007

Hiking the Y

Alright. Left to right... Kelli, Christie, Me. Yes. We are licking the Y. We were pretty much hardcore. There isn't a picture, but I also ate an ant on the Y. I think that eating ants will be our signature mark... atleast when we're with Nickolai and Brendan. We're pretty much awesome. Christie is my actual roommate, and Kelli is in the next room over. Love these girls! Our whole group... making a Y on the Y. I'm the top left, then is Brendan Bresnan (not the Brendan normally mentioned, but he's way cool too). Top right sitting is Christie and below her is Jenny. Then Nickolai, Nathan, and at the bottom is Brendan Coutu (the Brendan normally mentioned). Standing up is Allison. She was on the phone and didn't quite make it into our Y. Kelli took the picture.

I'll have a better group picture, but the boys took those and they haven't uploaded their pictures yet, dang them!
I highly recommend eating a good breakfast and remembering to take your iron pill, especially if you have anemia. That made the hike up a little interesting. Luckily, Brendan Bresnan is super sweet and wore my backpack for me, and when I had to stop and eat my granola bar he stopped with me and was talking to me. Barely knew him before today! The run down the mountain was REALLY FUN! We galloped and jogged, and high-fived lots of people that were on their way up.

The girls in 215 and the boys in 204 definitely know how to have a good time! I'm really glad that they aren't our FHE group. It wouldn't be as fun to hang out with them if some of the time it was a forced activity. Love those boys!
More pictures to come... as soon as Nickolai sends the pictures over! Love you all!

9.14.2007

Random times in room 215

Brendan & Nickolai came over today... well, they come over everyday. They basically live here. Anywho, today they came over to tell us that they had to eat ants for Biology homework. They were telling us all about it and how they tasted and such. So, Brendan asked me if I'd try an ant. I said sure, why not! So then he yelled to Kelli to see if she'd eat one too (she was in her room, which is why he yelled). She agreed too since I said I'd eat one. Here I am, with an ant on my tongue. You can't see it, but I promise.. there was an ant there. I laughed at Brendan & Nickolai since they had to eat ants for homework, but then they laughed at me because I ate ants for fun. I think I ended up eating 4 ants. Not too bad :D Kelli's brother took us to Walmart on Saturday. We found these yellow ponchos and decided that we couldn't go home without them. So, even though the weather was nice, we decided to put them on and try them outside. They didn't protect us from the weather, but people did notice us, which was pretty funny. Brendan & Nickolai saw us through their kitchen window and laughed. I guess they weren't too surprised to see me and Kelli wearing yellow ponchos and dancing up on the little ledge by our building. Hmmm, good times.

I keep bringing up Brendan & Nickolai. They're pretty cool guys, the guys from 204. We're hiking the Y with them tomorrow morning and I'll get pictures of them then and post them on here so that you see what they look like. Maybe I'll also get a picture of Brian & Caleb... Caleb is my (our) second cousin once removed. He's in my ward and lives right above our FHE brothers. I'll also have to get some pictures of them this week so you can see my amazingly hilarious FHE brothers.
We put sticky notes all over their front door today... with pick up lines and other funny sayings. We thought nobody was home, but apparently Troy was watching us through their peep hole the entire time. As soon as we left, he and two others came out and started reading them. If Brendan ever sends me the picture I took on his phone I'll get a picture of their door up here. Gotta love all our boys!

9.08.2007

I Know You've Been Waiting!

Here's my side of our walk in closet. It's fun having a walk in closet. I absolutely love it!!!
Here's my side of the room! You can see that I make my bed (almost daily) and there's Val's quilt! My dresser is organized, and the shelf above my bed is pretty neat.
I'm the right side of the desk. There we have my laptop (love it!), printer, and my To Do List. I have lots to do this weekend, including: church, hall meeting, ward prayer, CES fireside, Heritage House Rock party, grocery shopping, hanging out with Tyler (did that yesterday though), and going to breakfast with the guys in 204. Oh, and I've also got like 7 chapters of textbooks to read. haha

The top of my walk-in closet. Sweatshirts, Games, Towels... Apples to Apples is the one game we've played so far, and it was a huge hit. That was how we got to know our FHE bros.
So, I don't think I've ever tried to post multiple pictures at once, and I definitely didn't realize what order I needed to put them so that it would make sense. Oh well. Now you can see at least what MY half of the dorm looks like. My roommates aren't all home right now otherwise I'd get some pics of the 6 of us, and when we take an FHE Family picture I'll post those too. Next Saturady I think we're hiking to the Y, so I'll get pics of us and the boys of 204.
Now I need to study... I've got a PARTY in a few hours! HOLLER!

9.04.2007

I'm in need of some SERIOUS HELP!

Hey guys, I'm desperate here.

My roommates and I are looking for some idea of pranks we could pull, mostly on our FHE brothers. Our first FHE was a little (read as REALLY) rough and we want them to see that they can be themselves with us and have a little fun.

We have access to the back door of their building that leads into their kitchen... We can also get into the front door, piece of cake.

We have a roll of caution tape (thank you dad for having random things in the garage and not noticing when mom said I could take it :D) and we want that tape to be our signature mark when we do pranks.

Any suggestions?

I'm In!

Sorry it's been a while, it's been a little hectic for the past few weeks. We left Redmond, closed on the house, visited Spokane & Salmon, and finally got to Utah. I got all my stuff moved in on Tuesday, but didn't unpack or stay the night until Wednesday. It didn't take too long to unpack, but I did make quite a mess.

After I unpacked I sat out in the lobby with some friends from back home (Stephanie & Mitchell) and then some guys from my ward came to visit. I met four guys, all of which were pretty cool. Unfortunately, our ward meets at 9:00. I'm not too sure that I'm going to like this, but it will make Sunday afternoons fun!

Today during Orientation we went on a "cougar walk" aka, tour of campus and I got some nasty blisters on my left foot. I'm way excited about them and hope that I can get them to go away before I have to start walking all over campus again on Tuesday.

I bought all my textbooks and realized that on Mondays & Wednesdays I'm going to need all of my books. It's a good thing I bought that awesome REI backpack!

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I promise I'll get on that soon and post some pics of my dorm, and my roommates, and the cool guys I met from my ward.

Love you all! (well, my family that is... I don't know who else is reading this)

Almost Gone

The packers came yesterday and the day before to pack up all our stuff. Today the moving truck came and picked everything up. Luckily I go to work for 8 hours every day and haven't been around to see all this happen. Today I got home (after dinner at the Robinsons) and our saw our empty house. I'm not to sure how I like this. BUT, it does mean that I'm almost at BYU. I move into my dorm in TWO WEEKS from today, I can't wait! It's going to be so fantabulous!

Today the girls at Napa took me out to lunch, to celebrate me heading off to college. I'm pretty much a huge Red Robin fan, and we went there to celebrate my graduation with Scott, so we went there again! I had to have a "Mile High Mud Pie" again, and share it with Debbie & Eunice. It was nice to take a break from work, and training my office replacement, to go grab some food at RR.

Hmmm, I don't really know what to say. Our house is empty, we leave soon, and I'm almost to college. I'll blog more when I get there. Who knows, maybe I'll post pictures of my dorm and my roommates, and some other crazy people that I meet along the way!

Stay tuned for more in the life of me!

It kicked in...

Well... tonight it happened. It finally kicked in that I'm leaving for school. I've been so excited for months. Tonight was my "last time babysitting" for Paul and Jeanne before I leave. We had a good night. The kids were listening to High School Musical while I made the largest box of mac & cheese I've ever seen (who knew they made 'family size'?). We played outside, ate fudgsicles, put Tyler to bed, did Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party, watched Shrek and everything was good. Then I turned into a wreck. I got Ryan to bed totally fine (we couldn't find Buddy, his bear, but a substitute bear was found and all was well). And then came the girls. Our tradition is that they each pick a song, and then I pick a song (my song is always I Am a Child of God). Paige asked if they could each pick two songs, since it was the last time. I was up for it, seemed like a good idea, right? Well, it wasn't a good idea. As I was standing on the ladder singing Paige's song, it totally hit me that I'm leaving in two weeks, and that I won't be able to babysit "my kids" often, and that I won't get to put my girls to bed. Katie's song of choice every time is Joseph Smith's First Prayer. I started crying during this song (don't know if the kids really noticed or not... but I definitely did not make it through the song). Katie chose her second song, luckily I didn't know it all, so it wasn't weird for me to drop out... then it was Paige's second song, The Books of the New Testament. Luckily, Paige & I both got lost in the middle, and we just picked up where we did know it. Bad idea to keep my song to the end. I sang the first line of I Am a Child of God and then just cried the rest of the song.

I came into the kitchen to grab the water bottle for the girls and just let the tears stream down my face. After I wiped them away I took the bottle into the kids, handed it to them and kissed them good night. That was rough.

I still have two weeks with them, and heck, I'm coming back here for dinner tomorrow... but I've loved having them so close and getting to watch Paige, Katie, Ryan & Tyler grow up. I loved our Aunt Marci sleepover when Tyler was born, our day at the park where I couldn't get the stupid rockets to launch, Paige waking me up when we were roomies 7 years ago, spending time with Katie in the preschool and babysitting them! I wish I had really close relationships with my other nieces and nephews, but that would make going to school even harder!

So Paul and Jeanne, thanks for letting your kids be mine, but dang you... why'd they have to be so cute? Now I don't want to leave them!

Goin Back in Style!

Hey! I know it's only been a day or so since my last post, but I had to blog about a few recent additions to my family. By additions to my family I pretty much mean things that I bought that are going to be helpful in college/life in general.

http://www.rei.com/product/714376

View in the color "Pinot Red." That's the color I bought! I love this backpack so much! I wish I had purchased one months ago, maybe even years ago. I see North Face taking over the world of backpacks. So long Jansport... you were nice, but I've gotta step it up at college!

http://www.rei.com/product/706145

Color purchased: black. Oh man alive! Again, I wish I had bought this fleece months ago! I had two black jackets once, but I lost them both, and recently found one of them. Unfortunately, the one I found is the little boys size large fleece from gap that I bought at DI for $2.00. The one I still can't find is from Old Navy, it was warmer, and Megan gave it to me for Christmas. If you have it, please return it to me, I miss it very much.

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=2323

Color: I'm pretty sure it's darker than it appears online. It's dark gray. Oh how I love this bad boy! I've got pictures from such random things now because I never have to remember my camera, just grab my phone! The service switch (from Cingular/AT&T to Verizon) has been amazing. Our phones work in our house, not that it will really matter in two weeks, but hey... if these phones work here, they must work everywhere!

That's pretty much all I can think of. And I'll have it known that none of the advertised prices were what I paid (and with the phone, I don't mean that I paid for it, since obviously mom & dad did, thanks again btw!). I'm into sales & signing up for email lists just because it gives me a 15% off coupon (thank you REI).

I don't think I've ever bought anything other than a Nalgene bottle at REI before, but now I'm loving it! It was so much fun. Last night I scoped it out online, found what I wanted for my backpack and browsed the jackets. Today I walked into the store with mom, found the backpacks, tried this one on, opened all the pockets and was in love! We went up to the clothes, and as we were looking for a "rain jacket" I saw the jacket I bought. I decided heck, I've lived in Seattle for 18 years and have spent the last few without a rain jacket, why would I need one somewhere else? I've got sweatshirts to wear, what's a little rain? With that said, I'll probably end up back at REI tomorrow to look at rain jackets again. LOVE IT!

Two and a half weeks

I'm getting really excited for BYU! My roommates and I are all emailing eachother and it seems like I've got quite the roommates! We should have a blast and a half together. I'll blog about them once I actually meet them though, and possibly include a picture of us all together! I'm super stoked to meet Christine (my roommate), Allison, Sarah, Kelli and Jenny. :D

I've got two and a half weeks left at Napa. One of the guys asked if we could have a party. I don't know if he just wanted cookies or something, or if he's really excited that I'm leaving. Scott (my boss) left today for vacation and I won't see him before I leave unless he's back on the day that I return my shirts... hopefully he is. I'm going to miss a lot of the guys, but the girls in the office, i'll miss them the most!

It's crazy to think that we have so little time left in Redmond. And all the crazy things that are left to do, and with all the hours I spend at work, I have no energy to do much else... hmmm, maybe I should work on that so I can help around the house a little bit.

Oh man alive! Summer is almost over and BYU is coming up so soon! I can't wait for my class schedule, meeting new people, and living in the dorms. In the fall I'm taking Book of Mormon, Mission Prep, Physical Science, ASL 101, Geography & World Affairs and HEPE. It should be a killer time!

Last Night!

So, I decided... it's the last Harry Potter book and I was going to get the full experience. I called Tyler, convinced him he wanted to go with me, and we went down to Borders to pick the book up at midnight. We got there and it was hilarious! So many people in funny costumes, some in not so funny costumes (dementors are SCARY looking!). We got a bracelet saying we had preordered the book, and then we chilled inside for a while, finding random people from school. Around 11:30 they kicked us all out of the store and we got in line (depending on what color your bracelet was). Eventually... we get back into the store, the cut off my bracelet, and handed me my beautiful copy of HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. Paid for it, headed to Tylers car, and left! I got home around 1:30 this morning, and stayed up til 8:10 when I finished the last page of the book.

I don't know what to do with myself now that all the Harry Potter books are out. I think I will read the whole series again soon, maybe buy Harry Potter trivia games, and go to town. I also might have movie marathons. I was reading in the paper this morning. It said something along the lines of "kids have grown up with Harry Potter and as Harry 'comes of age' readers are saying goodbye to their childhood too". Pretty much that sums me up. I'm not a little kid anymore. In a month I'll be out of Redmond, headed who knows where before I get to BYU.

Well, J.K. Rowling, thanks for giving me Harry Potter. It was nice growing up with Harry, Ron and Hermione. It's sad to think that next summer or the summer after that there isn't another book to wait for, but there still are two more movies!

AND... Twilight fans, the third book, Eclipse, comes out August 7th. For some reason I doubt that I will be in line at the bookstore at midnight, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be purchasing this book as soon as it's out and reading it. I guess that gives me a little time to read Twilight & New Moon again.

Now that I don't have Harry Potter to read, any suggestions on other books I should read in the next month? I'm open for suggestions!

Following Tradition

Tonight I went to see Brian Regan perform his new comedy routine at Marymoor with Megan, Jenna, and a gazillion other people. There were two opening acts, Kermit & Joe. Both were hilarious. I was in pain from laughing so hard before Brian even got onto the stage. THEN... Brian came! We were laughing sooo hard! I think everybody needs to google search Brian Regan and watch some clips of his comedy routines, he is so funny! Especially funny are his bits about Moosen, Poptarts, and YOU TOO! Oh man alive, I love BRIAN REGAN!

However... this post wasn't supposed to be about how much I love Brian Regan, but about how much I love traditions! Megan, Jenna & I have this tradition. We do something big & exciting, and then we go to the grocery store, buy a carton of ice cream, and sit together at one of our houses & eat straight from the carton. Tonight our flavor was Goo Goo Cluster. We ate it at our house, and it was AMAZING! We had a loverly time eating our ice cream and quoting Brian Regan. Now, I don't really know when or how this tradition started, but it is definitely a good one.

I can't wait to hang out with Meg & Jen again so that we can have more ice cream!

Harry Potter & Work

In the past week, my life could be summarized as going to work and reading Harry Potter. However, because of work, I realized I didn't have enough time to read all of the first 4 Harry Potter books before seeing the movie tonight at midnight. So, I read the first two, half of the third, and watched the movie for the 4th. I've reread the chapter titles for the 5th one and now feel fully prepared to see the movie. Starting tomorrow afternoon I will be reading the 6th book to prepare for the 7th to come out next week. It's been so much fun to reread Harry Potter. I love all of the little details in the books that you forget about because they aren't in the movies.

I'm so excited to leave in about half an hour to go to the movie theatre. I'm going with Megan, Jenna, and some people from Sammamish. It's basically the same group that I am going to see Brian Regan with on Saturday night. I am so excited for both of those events... Harry Potter 5 & Brian Regan in ONE WEEK! If you don't know the comedic genius which is Brian Regan, please take a moment to google him. He cracks me up so much, I can't wait to watch him live! AND he's coming to Marymoor, so I don't even have to drive into Seattle! It couldn't get better, but then it DOES! Saturday is Jessica's birthday, and Jessica is coming with us to see Brian Regan, so I get to see her on her birthday! I love Jess!

My room is freakishly clean and I don't like it. If I knew where my camera was, I would shock you all by showing you a picutre of it, but unfortunately, my camera ended up in some box... and I haven't gone looking for it. For pictures of the quilt that Val made me, check out her blog... she blogged about it!

Well... time is running out, and I want to change out of my pretty ugly Napa shirt before I leave, so tata for now! love to you all!

I Feel So Domestic...

This may be too much for you to handle... Me, blogging twice in a week. However, I had a very eventful trip to Target tonight and had to blog about it. Keep reading to get the jist of the story! I got a mug like this one for graduation with some cidar & cocoa packets. I wanted to get a second one so I'd have a pair. Well, I found it, and they had matching plates. I bought the dinner plates (see below) and the salad plates. They did not have the bowls in the store, but I just ordered them online and will have them shipped to Provo to the Springgay's house. They're so cute!

I went looking for sheets. I wanted some cream ones so that they would look pretty with the throw that Val made me for graduation. However, I found these that matched the comforter I had just found, and was in love. I don't know if you can see it well, but they're pink and brown polka dots. My comforter is pink on one side and brown on the other. Eventually I might get a picture of the throw on here so you can see. It's pink and brown, and really cute!
Basically... I pushed my cart around feeling very domestic. I also bought a WAFFLE MAKER (on sale for $7.99), and a silverware set. Oh, and you can't forget my package of socks. I felt amazing buying all this stuff, and now get to pack it all up in a box labeled "Marci BYU" so that this stuff ends up in Provo not Nauvoo.

Youth Conference

Well... it's been a long time since I've blogged. I don't have my Saturday job anymore, so I don't have that obvious 8 hours a week to blog. I feel bad about this. So bad, that now, after 10:00 at night, I take the time to blog.

This weekend was our Stake Youth Conference, our production of From Cumorah's Hill. We had performances Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night. It was fantastic! I haven't seen the video yet, so I'm not sure that it looked fantastic, or that the lines were fantastic, but we had some amazing spirtual experiences! I am so grateful for the oppotunity I had of working with Sister Dance and Brother McComber. Sharla did the music, and Howard did the drama part. This time around was way different than when I was 14 an we did FCH. I'll tell you right now, one of my favorite parts was when we were all outside in the Courtyard up at the high school. We had a short testimony meeting after lunch so that our real testimony meeting Sunday night won't be so long. Afterwards, we sang Who Will Wait, a song from the musical. It was amazing being at the school that I had attended for 3 years, and singing this spirtual song. Afterwards, Howard talked about how he hoped that when any of us walked through the courtyard at RHS in the future, we would remember THAT moment of time, when for one weekend, RHS was the home of the Spirit. There is so much garbage normally filling the school, and the minds of the students attending, but this weekend, and specifically today after dinner, the courtyard was a place to feel the spirit. We then went into the choir room where we had our pre-show talk from Sister Dance & the Stake Presidency. Since we had basically had our talk in the courtyard, we sang hymns, with Pres. Hilton playing the piano for us. I cried like a baby, along with most of the girls I was sitting with. Our makeup was a disaster, but the feeling was amazing!

I'm going to miss youth conference. Our twice a month rehersals. Sister Dance's enthusiasm. Howard's long lectures that end with him crying. President Hilton reminding us to leave our cell phones at home. Sing alongs around the piano after rehersal was long done. The ridiculous games they had us play to help us bond. The massages we gave eachother as we warmed up. Our high/low singing contests. My crazy pre-show rituals with Morgan.

I loved youth conference and am so grateful that I chose to attend. I'm even more grateful for my role, as Katy, the student who stands up in front of her philosophy class and testifies that she believes in God, after the professor "teaches" that there is no God. I loved my song, and the girls that I got to sing with. I loved the interaction with "Jason" aka, Matthew, who I will forever call Jason. I loved the power and strength that comes in number. We were a large group, but when we all focused, we had the power to move mountains.

Great Things and Small Things, I can do ALL Things!

I Never Stand Alone.

Ch-Ch-Changes

I am a graduate. *sings preschool song... oh good times* Wednesday was graduation at the WaMu Theatre at Qwest Field. We waited outside for what seemed like an eternity, and finally got to go stand in a line waiting to walk in. My walking partner was Amy George (Jeanne.. you might remember her from the preschool, or Katie might remember bb Amy) and we had a blast... We sat through Raj's speech and complained about how badly he plagerized from the speeches given at Baccalaureate (sp?) the night before.

I don't want to go into all the boring details about graduation, but it happened. I won the Department Award for Family & Consumer Sciences (thank you Child Psych & Special Ed for being in the same department!!!) and got to go up on the stand to receive that. Then I got to go walk across the stage, have Mr. Anderson call my name, and Ms. Allender hand me my diploma cover. I haven't gone up to the school yet to receive my actual diploma, but I plan on doing that on my lunch break sometime this week.

After Graduation, Paul, Shelly, Jen, Sarah & Jenna came to the house with Mom, Dad, and I and we ate CHEESECAKE! It was tasty, and I loved it very much. Everybody left, and then I went to bed.

I started my FULLTIME job at Napa the next morning, where I received about an hour and a half of training for delivery driver, and then I was sent out on my own. Yep, I'm a driver for Napa. It's pretty killer! I've met some cool guys at the shops, and I'm loving the extended hours. It's crazy to think that I'm in "The REAL world" now, working fulltime and then coming home to my laundry and room that need to be taken care of.

On a DIFFERENT note! From Cumorah's Hill is not this weekend, but the next weekend, and I am STOKED! I get to perform Saturday afternoon, it should be awesome. In the meantime, I will just be working! I quit my Saturday job so that I can take on some Saturday's at Napa, and I needed a break. Megan comes home in 6 days. Jenna and I are visiting teaching companions and we visit Kelli Zippro & Megan (once she gets home from school). We decided we're going to do "visiting teaching" once a week (aka, we have an official excuse to hang out with Kel & Meg, and the sudden need to bake cookies!) I LOVE VISITING TEACHING! oh man alive! OH! And, I went to Relief Society for the first time today, no more YW for Marci!

6.09.2007

hey...

So I've realized how unclever the titles are for my blog. It makes me happy, in a weird kind of twisted way... I'm sitting here at my desk at work, contemplating what I'll do with my Saturday's in a few weeks. Next Saturday is my last Saturday working for The Door Works, and then I'm outta here! I'll be fulltime at Napa starting Thursday, and need to be available to work on Saturday's. I'm stoked.

Megan comes home from BYU in 2 weeks exactly, and I can't WAIT to see her! From Cumorah's Hill is in 3 weeks, and then I don't know what I'll do anymore. I'll work, hang out with people, and get ready to go to BYU. I'm so flipping excited, you have NO IDEA! This summer is going to be amazing, as I learn where all the car shops are around here, as I do some exploring of cool hangout spots, and as I hit up Champion the horse at Crossroads Mall. It should be pretty eventful. And come the end of August, I don't have to say goodbye to my friends who are leaving for BYU, I get to say goodbye to those who AREN'T leaving... it should be a splendid time!

School is basically done, only my vocab test and the Moving Up Assembly which are on Monday, then Tuesday I'm going to the ZOO with the Transition Room. Wednesday morning is Graduation Rehersal, then that night is GRADUATION! I can't wait to be all graduated, although I'll admit... I cried as I left band for the last time. It was heart breaking to play Pep Band with those kids for the last time, to see the "Spirit Trumpet" passed down from Senior to Junior, and to play the flute soli in You Can Call Me Al for the last time... I never copied my pep band music like I wanted to, so we'll see if I can remember it enough to write it down.

AHHHHHHHH! I can't wait!

6.05.2007

hmm, i'm pretty much done!

Well... although I still have 5 days of school left, I am basically done! Today I turned in an essay, gave two presentations, and tonight I finished writing another essay. I wrote a poem for Creative Writing, and now the only thing I have left in school is a vocabulary test (20 words) which is the third portion of my Pre-College Writing final.

I can't wait at all! School is almost done, ahhhh!!!!! Soooo many exciting things come with the end of the year, along with a bunch of really stressful days!

This past weekend was our annual BAND TRIP! We went to Idaho (I know I can't spell Couer de'alene right... so we'll stick with IDAHO!) We took three bands (really, it was all 4, but we combined sophs and juniors) and each band brought back one trophy. The sophs/juniors also brought back the "overall best concert band" and a soloist from the jazz band was awarded second place (i think) for best soloist. It was AMAZING! As head hauncho of the bands, I got to go up and accept all of our trophies and carry them around. It made me feel so special!

A lot of way cool things happened on the band trip, but I don't really feel like blogging about the whole trip... a bunch of things were "you had to be there" kinda things for you to think they're cool or funny, or you atleast need to know the kids involved.

I graduated from Seminary on Sunday, so now I enjoy a few days where I can sleep in! It is really strange to go to school without my four amigos (jess, rach, gary and william), the three juniors and freshman that I used to drive to school from seminary. The dance parties just aren't the same, and neither is the conversation. It's really not that fun to carry on a conversation by myself in the car.

Well.. I needa go to bed, it's WAY late. I just finished my essay for PCW and turned it in to turnitin.com so now I'm even closer to being done with school!

GO ME!

5.31.2007

It's Official... I'm a BAND GEEK!!!

Hey again friends! Tonight was my LAST band concert ever... I'll admit, as I was getting dressed up in my spiffidelic uniform, there was a tear or two shed.

I was way stressed before the concert because I had to organize the Senior Gift to Mr. Robertson (a quilt was made by a mom that had 9 or 12 past pep band t-shirts on it... i needed 35 students to sign it without Ert seeing.)

At the concert, awards and scholarships are given, then I (as the band president) give the gift to Ert. I won one of the Redmond Mustang Band Booster Scholarships (add this to the Greater Seattle BYU Alumni one, and I've almost got one semester of tuition covered!!!!!!)! Tyler and I won "Students of the Year" which was awesome. Rather than talk about the girl, bring her up, and then talk about the guy and bring him up, Mr. Robertson talked about us as if we were one, then had us come up together to get our little plaques! Then, Mr. Robertson called each senior up one at a time, gave us a carnation and talked about us for like 15 seconds each. After this point, I gave him our gift. I first spoke about memories, lessons we learned, a lesson we didn't learn (DON'T TALK WHILE WE TUNE) and apologized for our behavior, and told him that as a thank you for putting up with us, we wanted to send him and a guest to Jazz Alley for dinner and a show. Because the certificate had not yet come, I told him we had something else... and had Tyler come hold the quilt up to show him. Ert was so excited! I mentioned the following: "To some, it's not over til the fat lady sings. For us, Band isn't over til the trumpets play pep band"

We then played our last song, WICKED! After that, we started playing a pep band song... he laughd, and part way through, from the audience, the sophomores and juniors joined it. We played Everybody's Everything, the song we played for marching band last year. It was amazing, I almost cried.

Dad took some pics of Tyler and me, and then Tyler, Ert, and me... It was fantastic! THEN... we followed the most important band tradition, we went to DAIRY QUEEN! Now I'm sitting here eating my blizzard blogging about my last band concert.

I'm sad... I don't want band to be over! Luckily we have our trip this weekend... YAY BAND!

That my friends, is why I am a HARDCORE BAND GEEK!

5.25.2007

Joanne tagged me, and I give into peer pressure on my blog... so here ya go

I guess the title says it all! Joanne tagged me, which pretty much FORCED me to do this... I apologize for not having pictures to go along with my favorite things... I'm not on my computer, or at home on dad's computer, so I have no pictures

My 7 Favorite Things (not necessarily in order, and not necessarily my real 7 favorite things):

1. The Office

Yes, I know, Joanne put really cool things, like Hiking, and The Ocean, and Grapefruits... I start my list with a TV show. Now, I love this show, probably way more than I should. BUT, this past season was a fun time for me and a bunch of friends to bond over the show. At first, we would all watch it together at Bishop's house, but as time went on and we all had homework, we stopped meeting to watch it. We then would talk about it at school the next day. Thus, The Office is hilarious, and is a bonding tool.

2. Wicked

Now, I haven't actually seen the musical Wicked, but we're playing it in band. With Mr. Robertson, it feels like I've seen it, as his explanations on how to play the song better almost always comes with a "Well, in the play..." or "In this part of the play, this is happening". Needless to say, I love the music, especially the songs "Defying Gravity" and "Dancing Through Life". It makes me happy when we play this song in band, really happy.

3. Aerobics

Well, I often complain that I don't really like my aerobics teacher at school, but secretly I do. She has us work really hard (which is why I complain) but that is also why I like her! I've really liked working out everyday, and am sad to see my days in Aerobics go down. It will be a sad day when I don't get to work out in the Wrestling room anymore. Aerobics makes me feel way good, especially on the days when I walk out of there really sweaty. EWWW

4. Stanley

Now, you may be saying to yourself "Stanley is gone!" and that's true. Stanley was one of my favorite things, and not having Stanley makes me really sad. I feel like part of me died on February 28, 2007 when Stanley committed suicide. I feel bad borrowing moms car everyday, making her stay home, but I also feel really bad bumming rides off everyone, and would feel worse making mom or dad drive me to seminary. I miss Stanley and the opportunity he gave me to go run errands whenever, without having to worry about who needs the car next. Yes, this is why Stanley was one of my favorite things.

5. Tillamook Vanilla Bean Yogurt.

I love yogurt, but I'm really picky about it. Lots of people I know love yogurt, especially Vanilla yogurt. So, I felt pressured into trying it. Someone had a Yoplait vanilla one once, and I didn't particularly enjoy it... but then, one day, Tyler had a Tillamook Vanilla Bean one, and oh my goodness, it was heavenly. The bean part of it is what makes it taste so good, I think... Or maybe it's because it's Tillamook? Or because its container isn't so flimsy? Yeah, basically I don't know why, but because I (well, more like mom) bought two of them today they're on my mind right now. Yes, it's weird, but when have I been known to post something somewhat normal?

6. Flip Flops

I don't know when this all started, but I hardly ever wear shoes that are not flip flops. I own around 10 pairs of them, but I wear the same ones everyday. My "Locals" flip flops from Kona. They are my favorite shoes, and I wear them basically each day, including today. The exception is Sunday when I go to church, or random days that I wear skirts. I also don't wear flip flops on Saturday's at work, because i could drop a garage door part on my foot and it would hurt if my feet were not adequately covered. Yes, I love flip flops.

7. Graduation

You may be saying "Wow, Marce, you haven't even graduated yet" and to that I would respond, "I know!" but honestly... who doesn't love graduation? I have 10 days of school left, and they are just going so slowly. The thought of graduation is something I look forward to every freaking day. Especially when I remember that a few days after graduation MEGAN COMES HOME! And then I get to work full time at Napa, and I'm really excited about that. And what else happens, oh! It means I'll be a lot closer to being at BYU which makes me really happy, then I get to meet my roommate Cortney, who seems way cool. Yeah, I love graduation!

Alright, there you have it. 7 of my favorite things, not particularly in order, and not necessarily my favorite things. Bascially, that was just a post of 7 random things that I happen to love and have been thinking about recently.

Just be thankful that I didn't do what my original idea was... sing "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music, and write aout how I like blue satin sashes, raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, brown paper packages tied up with string, etc... It would've been great.

Joanne tagged everyone that I would've tagged, she kind of tagged everybody that has a link from my blog, so if I don't have a link to your blog on here, I guess I TAG YOU! Tell us your 7 favorite things. Or, be different, don't give in to peer pressure, and blog about something else!

Prom explained, and other news

Mom informed me that I did not say what we did for Prom, and that I had other exciting news that I needed to announce to the general public via my blog.... so for the other exciting news:

I got a $1000 scholarship from the Greater Seattle BYU Alumni somethingerother... I'm way excited! The email was signed from Marcia Bean (I'm pretty sure you guys know her). I'm way stoked about this.

But anywho, the main point of this post was to say what we did for Prom. So here ya go:

In the afternoon we drove into Seattle to try out the Ride the Ducks attraction (www.ridetheducksofseattle.com). Our captain was Captain Stu Pendous. We enjoyed our loverly ride all over Seattle, the amazingly random information he shared with us, as well as the tunes that he played.

After the ducks, they had to take me back to Bellevue to get moms car, which I had left at work. They (the guys) decided we were going to go to Taco Bell for lunch, because, well... everybody loves Taco Bell, and they were hungry! So we had a fiesta at Taco Bell, and then went home to get ready. I went to Jenna's house because she did my hair... and because of our unplanned trip to Taco Bell, and newfound knowledge that their was a Mariners game, we had less time than we thought to get ready. It was stressful to say the least. I got back to our house with only my hair done at the time that everybody was supposed to be there to take pictures. Luckily, everybody was running a little late, so I had time to change, put on some mascara, brush my teeth, and have Jeanne help me shape my nails.

After what seemed like forever, all four of us were there and ready to go. We hopped into Tyler's car and boogied on down to Geneva (www.genevarestaurant.com) for dinner. You really should go to that link and look at the picture of the restaurant, it's really pretty! I had a Filet Mignon (sp?) and it was AMAZING!

Then we went to Union Station (yes, the train station) where Prom was. We got there just in time to vote for Prom King... (Our choices were 5 way cool guys, including Tyler.) Tyler won, regardless of the fact that I voted for Zawadi, possibly the funniest person I have ever met in my entire life. We also voted for Queen, but you wouldn't know any of the 6 options, so I left that part out... the winner was a way cute girl named Kiriana, she's in 3 of my classes at school. We had our pictures taken (they still haven't been delivered though... one can only hope that Tuesday will be the day) and then we talked to a bunch of people. We did dance some, but not as much as most people... school dances just aren't like stake dances :D

Around 11:30 we left the dance, rocked out to the soundtrack of Wicked, and went to Tyler's house. Tammy had made us some glorious cheesecake, so we ate it and drank some Martinellis. Tyler was convinced all along that we HAD to have sparkling cider as part of prom, hence the martinellis with our cheesecake. When we were done, we all went home, I talked with mom and dad, and then I went to sleep.

In a nutshell, that was Prom! It was AMAZING! I loved it, and we had a way good time!

Paint...

Recently, dad got the sudden urge to paint my bathroom. I didn't really know about this urge until I came home from school today. I ran in before going to work because I needed to grab something for work, and to go to the bathroom. Now, I don't know about all of you, but I have a favorite bathroom to use... SO... I ran up the stairs to find my bathroom open, with the windows open and fans blowing. I was slightly confused, until I comprehended that the nasty smell that my nose smelled was PAINT. It's like 50000 degrees outside and it smells like paint upstairs. I feel sick, so I grabbed my computer and came downstairs where I will probably stay all night just because of the nasty smell of paint that is coming from upstairs.

I just wanted to share this lovely experience with you all. I also felt bad because I don't have any more pics from Prom yet, I'm working on that :D

Here are pics that mom took at Prom... I'll add more once I get dad's pictures, our official pics, and the picture that Hailey took. We'll get some pics from our afternoon Ride the Ducks, Dinner, and Dessert at the Livelys....
Me and Allen on the back deck... aren't we cute? And didn't mom make an AMAZING dress? I LOVE IT!

Housing... the second time

So... today I was going to 4th period when a friend told me that my cell phone was lighting up. I checked it, sure enough. I had 3 missed calls from home, along with 3 voicemails. Dad had called to say that BYU housing had called and that I needed to come home at lunch.

So, I went home at lunch. I logged into my BYU Housing, and clicked a button that brought up a screen that basically said "The BYU Accomidations Office has reserved a room for you in Heritage Hall. Would you like to: Accept or Decline."

I hit accept, and I will now be living in E. Richards Hall! So now my kitchen supplies that I started getting for Christmas will not have to sit in a box! My roommate is from Florida and seems pretty sweet! Also in our "apartment" are 2 girls from Arizona, a girl from Texas, and a girl from American Fork. I'm so excited! I've only emailed Cortney (my room roommate), I suppose that closer to the actual date I'll email the rest.

I'm WAY Excited.

ALSO

Yesterday were CP Presentations. I PASSED! Now that's done! YAY Graduation is just around the corner, and I am getting WAY excited!

HOUSING

Alright... so I was planning on living in Heritage, and wanting to request a room in Horne Hall... unfortunately, when I got to request my room this morning, Heritage was full.

SO, I'll be living in Helaman, in Chipman Hall. My roommate is from Portland and from what I know so far, she seems great! We're right across from the bathroom (a total perk) that we'll share with a bazillion other girls. This morning I was really ticked off about this... but as time has gone on, I've gotten over the fact that I'm in Helaman. I'm mostly bummed about the lack of a kitchen. I was way excited to be able to cook. It looks like the awesome mixing bowl, measuring bowls and rolling pin that I got for Christmas will stay in a box at mom and dad's house for an extra year. OR maybe I'll keep them in a box at the Springgay house in Provo in case I ever have a need for them.

On a happier note, my Prom dress is pretty much done. Mom has to finish hemming it, which she'll do after dinner tonight. When it's done, I'll get a picture of it and post it here so you don't have to wait an entire week fr the real Prom pictures to be available to you lovely folk!

Spiderman 3

SO... Spiderman came out on Friday. It being Wednesday, I finally went and saw it. Now, I'd been counting down the days til May 4th since I first found out when Spiderman3 was coming out. I am in LOVE with Spiderman. I love Spiderman and Spiderman 2. I have a Spiderman shirt that I wear all the time, I recently ordered a Spiderman Bowl from the cereal box. I also have a Spiderman folder that I use at school. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of Spiderman 3. I thought this movie was going to be AMAZING. But I was so disappointed. As I walked out of the theatre with Jessica, we were so sad and wanted our $8.50 back.

Did anybody else have similar feelings?

Don't get me wrong. I still love Spiderman. Not all parts of number 3 were HORRIBLE, but I was not overly impressed at the end.

End of my thoughts on the matter, how does everybody else feel?

ALSO... cool little fact: this is the first post I've done on my new laptop! Dad got the wireless set up yesterday, so now my computer is pretty much functional. We haven't moved my iTunes over yet, and that's kinda bugging me, but I should be able to get that done soon.

Work....

Good story...

So I'm at work today, since it's Saturday. I go to take my lunch break. I went and picked up McDonalds, because I REALLY wanted chicken nuggets. So I'm driving back to work, sippin my sprite. I pull into our parking lot, grab my sprite and walk in. With only my Sprite. I clock in, go back to whatever I was doing before, and discussing this customer with my co-worker. Suddenly, about 10 minutes have gone by and I realize I'm hungry. I grab my keys, run to the parking lot, and grab my food. Meanwhile, my co-worker is laughing at me because I left my lunch in the car.

And that my friends... is why I am the best!

Happy Half Birthday

Today is my Half Birthday! It has been the best day I've had in a LONG time! Here is why today is amazing:

1. Spiderman 3 came out today. I haven't seen it yet, but the important thing is that it is out and I will be seeing it soon. I love Spiderman!

2. This morning I had an interview with the Rotary Club because I had been nominated for Student of the Month. Three of us were interviewed, one will get it.

3. At the end of school today I got a pass to go down to the main office. I met up with all the kids who had been nominated. I got it! I'm the Rotary Student of the Month! Next Thursday I get to attend the Rotary Luncheon with mom, dad, and Ms. Badger (the teacher who nominated me)! I am so excited for this one!

4. My laptop came in the mail today. Yep! Last weekend I sat down and actually ordered my laptop! It wasn't supposed to even be shipped until today, but it shipped wednesday and arrived today. It's still in its box waiting for Office to be installed so I have word, excel and those other amazing programs. Tomorrow dad is going to help me transfer my music, pictures and documents from the desktop to the laptop! i'm stoked!

5. In band we played through our entire arrangement of Wicked! If you haven't seen the musical (which I haven't) or heard the music, you really should. The first time we played it, I hated it. So did everybody in my band. BUT now that we've been working on it for a few weeks, I am in love! I went out and bought the soundtrack the other day and have been happily listening to it in moms car ever since! I LOVE playing Wicked! AHHHH! So excited!

6. Yesterday I finished the BYU Alumni Scholarship, so now I don't have to think about it anymore. Now I just wait...

basically... all these things added up to what is now one of my favorite days ever!

Happy Half Birthday to ME!

Prom...

Well... it's official! I'm going to PROM!! This week was super exciting, Tuesday morning as I went out to my car to go to seminary there was a piece of paper on the windsheild that said "Have you been thinking about PROM? Cause I sure have... there's more to come"... I waited and waited until Wednesday night for the "more to come" part. As I was going to bed I decided to go check the porch/car, and as I opened the door there was a bag. In this bag were some super random objects and a card telling me the 6 ways to have the BEST prom EVER. The last thing on the list was Going to Prom with Allen. A little birdy told me last week that he was going to ask me, so I wasn't surprised, but I was excited!

Problem was... that was at 10:45 pm that I found it, and he had a flight at 11:00 am the next day to Orlando for a DECA trip. So... a few minutes after I found the bag, I called him (he didn't answer his cell) and left him a message along the lines of "hmmm, it's 11, I just found the bag you left me, and tomorrow you're leaving for your trip. sounds like you're just gonna have to wait til you get back for my response. have an awesome trip, see you in a week!"

I have yet to create my response, but I'm getting there. I have to drop it off to his house, or give it to his bro at school by Monday night so I can feel confident it will get to the right place before he gets home.

Today Prom became more real... the past few days I've been looking at dresses with mom, trying on dresses that friends have, and trying to figure out what to do about it. Yesterday Mom went to Joann's and bought some patterns to show me that she could make me my prom dress. Today we went together to JoAnn's and picked out my fabric! My dress is going to be "cornflower blue", it's a lot prettier then it sounds. Right after that, we went and found my shoes...

We then went to Macy's to look at purses. They didn't have any small evening bags, so I came home and got online. I found this one at JCPenny's. I haven't gone yet to get it, I'll take a detour on my way home from work tomorrow.

Mom is working on a mock bodice for my dress tonight. Hopefully we'll get it all figured out and then she can work on the real thing soon!

I'll get pictures of all of these things up soon... I could post links to my shoes and purse if you really wanted to see them... but I'll wait for now!

I'm WAY excited! Today has been AMAZING

hmmmm, it's been a fun week

Well... this week was WASL week number 2, my favorite schedule of all time! Seminary, go home, school starting at 11:05 and ending at 2:01. Basically the best idea of "school" I could think of! This week has been pretty sweet, here are some highlights of my week:

Monday- I went to the Relient K/Mae/Sherwood concert which was absolutely AMAZING! I did get a few bruises, but it was so worth it! I love all three of those bands so much!

Tuesday- I had a massage, followed by the best mutual activity I've been to in a long time. For our joint activity we had a Road Rally. My group was 4 Teachers, 1 Priest, and ME! We were running all over town solving riddles and taking pictures. Blake and I ran all over the place together and it was a lovely time!

Wednesday- I had an appointment with my culminating project teacher so I could do a practice presentation for her. It was at 7:30. I went straight there after seminary, she looked at me and saw how tired I was, and asked me to come back Friday morning at 9:30. It was pretty sweet to not have to do my presentation. I also cleaned my room, the bathroom, went to work and had a lovely time. My visiting teachers took mom and I out to dessert along with the other ladies they visit. We went to Claim Jumper and had an AMAZING time! It was possibly the best visit ever!
ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT: Once Janyse and her family got here, they gave me a present! This present is possibly one of my favorites now: my very own ROCKING ROCKING PONY, like the one that Taryn got for Christmas, except that my pony is pink not white like Taryns! She brought her pony too, so we've had races and gone riding together... basically, I love my pony. You can expect pictures posted of my pony, but that will have to be done at home where the pictures are!

Thursday- I didn't go to school. Janyse was here (and she still is) so I hung around the house, had her take me to work, and then came home. Syd, Tyler and I went to DI to do community service for our Government class. We sorted books, priced them, and shelved them. This was a lot more fun than it sounds. The three of us enjoyed each others company while we were there, but on the way home it turned a bit interesting :D

Friday- I didn't feel very good, and since I didn't go to school on Thursday, I emailed my Culminating Project teacher and asked if I could postpone my practice presentation again since I was not ready and didn't want to waste her time. She was very understanding and told me that I would have a few chances during school to work with her. She also said she wasn't worried about my presentation because she's seen all my work, that was nice! I also had a massage and went babysitting. I got to drive Janyse's van which I LOVE! Everyone and there mother should drive vans, I can't wait til I'm older and will most definitely be driving a van :D

Today- I woke up, came to work, and now I sit here blogging, hoping that the phone doesn't ring. After work I'm goin home to chill with the family for a while. Then I have a Cumorah's Hill practice which should be awesome! I can't wait for it! After the practice is a dance that I'm not staying for because I have an awesome night all planned out. I'm doing something with Tyler, but he won't tell me what... but I am supposed to wear my Spiderman shirt. That sounds pretty promising to me!

I also need to finish writing my essay for government on why Reagan was the best president since FDR. This should be a fun paper to write, and I'm pretty sure that Mr. Cassidy does NOT want to go through and read all of our papers, but it's not my fault he assigned the essay to us!

I think that's enough for me... peace!

From Cumorah's Hill

Today I got my phone call regarding call backs and if I got a part or not. To you all, this may not make much sense... but I have one of the verses in Power of God, and because of the part I have I get an acting part too!

There is a scene where a professor is teaching his class that there is no God, and then it flashes to the end of the semester where he asks if anybody still believes in God. I get to be the ONE student who still believes in God and I basically get to just bear my testimony on how I know there is a God.

I wasn't really feeling an acting part, but this should be AWESOME! I'm so excited for this part, hopefully on Saturday at our rehersal I will get to find out more, like who the other two girls are in the trio with me, and if we're in each performance or just one. This is really exciting! YAY!
