In the last week I've watched 4 classic movies, at least movies that were classics in my family growing up. You see, I've got a cold right now that has me feeling kind of miserable, and movies just make everything feel better.
Last week it was The Sound of Music (or was that two weeks ago? I don't remember) and Pete's Dragon. Then Sunday it was The Princess Bride. Today was The Happiest Millionaire. Oh how I love musicals! For the past few days I've had songs from The Happiest Millionaire stuck in my head so last night I hopped on to my library website and sure enough they had it! When I went to check it out the elderly person who assisted me said "Oh! I didn't know we had this movie. It is one of my absolute favorites-aren't you a little young to know this movie?" and I just laughed, sang parts of the songs to her to prove that I did know what it was I was checking out and she was really impressed. She said that as soon as I return it she is checking it out.
What should I watch next? I mop our whole place once a month and last time I had time to watch two movies...

Hmm...Seven Brides for Seven Brothers comes to mind, as does Brigadoon.
Sorry to hear you're down-and-out with a cold. Hope you get feeling better soon!
Definitely Fiddler on the Roof or the Music Man...they are two of my absolute favorites! Hope you feel better soon.

I'd vote for "One and Only Genuine Original Family Band!" One of MY family's favorites over the years, and I recall singing "What will he see when he looks at me for the very first time in his life? Will he see just a little country bumpkin girl or the woman he will want for his wife?"
Come to think of it, I might just post those words on FB to see who else might know that music---except I don't know how to add the adorable little music notes at the beginning and the end of the song. :-)
How about the old Freaky Friday, Mary Poppins and Parent Trap. Get better soon!
