Today was my 39 week appointment. I'm not dilated/effaced at all, and Baby Girl has "maybe dropped a little" according to Dr. S.
Next week the doc is out of town so I'll see the nurse practioner, and then the Tuesday after that (I'll be 40w5d) I have an appointment with Dr S again to discuss induction if Baby Girl isn't here yet.
I'm getting to the point where I don't really know what else to be doing all day. Her room is ready (minus the artwork that still hasn't come, so it hasn't been put up on the wall), our house is pretty clean (I even got down on the floor and scrubbed the floors the other day).
I probably should throw some freezer meals together, but other than that I'm at a loss... I don't have a ton of energy, so I mostly end up in front of the tv. It's a bit ridiculous.

I know you are not one to like down time, but maybe you should seriously enjoy it. :) I hope that you can enjoy these next few weeks as you wait for baby to arrive. Pretend that you are actually 29 weeks instead of 39. Keep growing that baby!
You are awesome at the 'no whine month nine' thing - with keeping so busy! You actually got down to the floor to scrub them? Wonder-woman! I agree with Megan, enjoy the down time as you have it, because once baby girl arrives things will get really busy for a while there. Can't wait for her to make her debut!
It's not ridiculous. You're 39 weeks pregnant. You shouldn't have any energy to do anything other than watching TV anyway. You'll still be there post baby too because you'll be permanently glued to the chair nursing your baby. Fun times. You're so close. I'm so excited for you!
I would say that we should go for a walk at the mall, but I know you don't want to go into labor when Dr. S is out of town. Hang on, Momma! You're almost there! Pretty soon you will have one of the most amazing experiences ever when you bring that baby girl into this world!
So glad to hear things went well! I seriously need to see a picture!
