Getting my Craft on

Chris was on a business trip last week, and while he was gone I set my sewing machine up and left it set up on the kitchen table until the night before he came home. I worked on a few projects, and am excited to share them!

I-spy bags. I posted a link to the tutorial a while back, but I'm super excited to say that these 6 are done now! Each bag has a theme, and the fabric goes with the theme. There is a Christmas bag, a springtime bag (flowers/kites/butterflies/pinwheels, etc), dessert (cakes, cupcakes, ice cream), transportation, animals, and one that is kind of miscellaneous .

The transportation one is the only bag that I did completely on my own. The window is a little off center, and the pocket on the back was majorly crooked, but I'm still super happy with how they turned out! I took pictures of everything inside each bag and laminated them. They go in a pocket on the back, and my plan is to use a dry-erase crayon so Emma can mark off what she finds

This was another project I did- it still needs some ribbon so I can hang it on the wall in Emma's room, but Hobby Lobby didn't have ribbon that I felt was right, so I'm hopeful that either Joann's or Michaels will have something that is more what I have envisioned.

I worked on a few other projects as well, but didn't get pictures of them. I spent some good time cleaning, and started watching a new (to me) tv show. I read 2 whole books, and spent some time skimming through cookbooks for new inspiration. I feel like I'm in a dinner rut.

Those bags look great Marci! Emma is going to love playing with those.

I want to make lots of these for christmas presents. Where did you get all the trinkets to fill them with?
