As a few of you know (Mom, Janyse, and Jeanne... who all got phone calls needing help) I decided that this semester I was going to eat less Pasta Roni & Quesadillas. So, Tuesday I decided to make Chicken and Rice. As you all may or may not know, Chicken and Rice takes about 2 hours to cook. Two hours is a long time to wait. When my half batch of chicken and rice was finally done, I was so excited. I reached in with hot pads to pull the dish out, and hit both of my thumbs on the really really hot things on the roof of the oven. So, if my rugburn scar from ultimate spoons wasn't enough, I'm probably going to have two lovely scars, one on each thumb, to remind myself of all the adventures that have happened in my lovely dorm.
I've found that my classes are all way good, although one of my classes is Friday only, so I haven't had it yet. American Heritage doesn't seem as scary as so many people have said before me. I'm excited about that. I also got into the ASL class I wanted which makes me very happy, as 1/3 of the class are kids from my last ASL class. Hooray for us all keeping the same teacher! YAY!
The one not exciting thing is that I'm sick. I've had a sore throat all week, along with random headaches, and now the lovely burns on my thumbs, and a nasty huge bruise on my leg (why do I bruise so easily, dang it?). This and all the snow we got this morning makes school pretty crazy!

Ah Marci - ouch! I hope you start to feel better soon.
That's great news about your classes, and even though you ended up with casualties from it: I'm glad you're cooking some REAL food!
Take care!
Oh, Marci! What a bummer. At least you can always stick your thumbs in the snow to cool them off/numb them. It's nice to be able to remember Freshman year, but scars aren't the way to go...;)
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope your thumbs are doing better. I am glad you are doing a little more cooking and eating better as a result. The only thing is, your church meetings are still early in the day and did not change like everywhere else with the calendar changing to 2008. Love you lots!
OOOOH! Ouch! Sorry to hear about your thumbs. Hope they're healing nicely now. Just wanted to let you know I've joined the blogger curcuit. See me at Seashelzzz.blogspot.com.
