Chris and I were talking about Emma the other day and I mentioned that I was impressed by how many words she knew. Chris was thinking for a second and said "yeah, she probably knows like 20 words". I was pretty sure she knew way more than 20 words and decided I probably needed to document this somewhere!
In no particular order, here are Emma's words (and hopefully I don't repeat words)

and I'm sure I'm missing a few more
I could've included more of her animal noises... but she knows that a lion says rar, a dog says woof, a cat says meow, a monkey says ooh ooh ooh, a sheep says baaa, a horse says neigh, a cow says moo etc...
She also can say some numbers. If she's in a good mood and I say "one" she can say "two three four five six seven" with very little prompting. Now she doesn't necessarily know what those numbers mean, but she can count to seven!

I'd say that's a lot more than twenty! :) Just wait until she learns to string them together in sentences and you'll be in the midst of the "out of the mouths of babes" phase! (Which, is my favorite phase. I can't wait until Esmée gets there).
What a little smartie! Typical of a girl too. We girls have a lot to say. :)
She once could say Grandma, but I haven't heard that for a couple of weeks. I know she can say "NO!" because that is the one you wish she had not learned.
