8 months

Today my baby girl is 8 months old! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! At 8 months Emma is figuring out the whole crawling thing, although she hasn't figured out exactly how to get her knees involved in the process. She gets quicker every day! Just today she crawled halfway across the house until she found Daddy's desk that had all sorts of cables hanging down from it.

Emma has 2 teeth

She LOVES her stuffed animals (monkey/giraffe/penguin, she loves them all)

She's starting to get back in the routine of sleeping at night instead of waking up every couple of hours. That darn ear infection she got in November that lasted a month, teething, traveling, and then her cold really messed up her sleep habits.

She can wave. Sometimes she'll even wave without being prompted. My favorite was last Sunday we sat down at church and she saw her friend John sitting behind us and waved to him. He was pretty excited that she waved before he did! John graduated from law school several months ago and is living at home while he's finishing some other degree (accounting?) and looking for jobs. He and Emma are pretty much bffs.

Emma loves to smile at the cute baby in the mirror. She waves and smiles at herself, it is so stinkin cute!

She loves applesauce, avacado (sometimes), banana (as long as it's the perfect banana), pasta, cheese (again, just sometimes... don't know what the deal is with that one), and her Gerber Graduate Puff snacks.

She gets really excited when daddy comes home, and still LOVES bathtime.

I find myself needing to sweep and mop the floors a lot more now that she's more mobile and now that she really does try to put everything in her mouth.

We sure do love our Emma girl!

Oh Marci, she is so cute! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. Soon it will be walking, then running, then driving... :)

And before you know it, nothing in the house will be safe from those busy little hands. How I love this little girl. Grandma!

What a sweetie! That was so much fun to watch her 'army crawl' on the video. Before you know it you're going to have a baby crawling all over the house!
