day 18

Day 18 – Something you crave a lot.

This part of the challenge is a little difficult. I don't really have any one thing that I crave a lot. Sometimes I crave Oreos. Sometimes I crave Cadbury Mini Eggs. Sometimes I just crave water with a little bit of lemon in it. Sometimes I crave Kiwi-Watermelon Koolaid. Sometimes I crave hummus.

I used to crave sunshine, but now living in Texas I get it most of the time and it's not a craving. Sometimes I crave rain though, it makes me feel like I'm back home.

It sounds weird, but I crave a clean apartment. One where I can still smell the citrus scent of the cleaners I use. One that has the scent of our laundry detergent lingering.

Apparently I crave citrus, whether it be the smell of it or the taste of it. I like citrus :)

day 17

Day 17 – A photo of you and your family.

 The parents
 The siblings
The nieces & nephews (6 of the 16)

These are the most current pictures I have, I guess I could've posted the picture of the family in Nauvoo because it had all the Krumper-people, but it was missing Chris and he's my family now too.

day 16

Day 16 – Your celebrity crush.

I have two. One is definitely just because of recent events, the other has been my celebrity crush for a few years now.
Oh how I love Jimmer!

 And James Marsden... oh boy!

The year that I was an RA I had five favorite movies that I watched over and over and over again. They were:

Enchanted, Hairspray, 27 Dresses, The Notebook, and Zoolander.

It didn't take me too long to figure out a common ingredient in each of those movies- the adorable face of James Marsden. For Valentines day Chris got me The Notebook on blu-ray, we watched it that night. The week before Valentines day we got a wedding gift in the mail- a check saying that now that we had everything we needed we were supposed to buy things we wanted. We picked out three games and two movies from Amazon and I was super excited when 27 Dresses came!

day 15

Day 15 – Something you don’t leave the house without.

This is a difficult question because it depends. Am I leaving the house by myself or with Chris? We'll answer both of those questions.

If I'm with Chris I often just have :
and of course:

If I go out by myself I almost always take:

my water bottle and my purse. in a few days i have to post
a photo of the stuff in my purse, so i'll spare you those details right now.

Taking my water bottle with me is incredibly important if I don't want headaches. I found that a big contributor to the nasty head aches I was getting when we moved here was being dehydrated, so now I really keep track of how much water I drink each day. Having my own water bottle when I go to friends apartments helps me make sure I do it!

And there you have it. I take my phone, chapstick, water, and my purse. Sounds pretty thrilling, huh?

day 14

Day 14 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to.

This was a difficult one to answer. I almost always have a show that I'm watching, the show that I turn on (courtesy of Netflix or Hulu) while I clean, and especially when I fold laundry. Ya know, a show that I watch while Chris is gone... normally one that he wouldn't be too excited to watch. Currently that show is:

A few weeks ago I picked a friend up after she dropped her car off at the shop to get some work done. As we pulled into her complex she invited me in to watch an episode together. I was instantly hooked. The show is in Season 11 right now and the finale is in like 2 months. Since we watched that episode I went back and watched the season from episode one and last week we got together to watch the most current episode. It was intense! I've also gone back and watched Season 10 since it's on Hulu. I like to turn it on while I clean/do homework/fold laundry and even do yoga with it on sometimes. Since I started watching it I've dropped most of the other shows I had been watching, although today I did watch an episode of The Cosby Show while Chris was helping someone move.

Then there are the shows that Chris and I watch together. We have several that we've started and when we're in the mood to watch an episode these ones are our favorites:

One of my goals (for my 101 in 1001 list) is to watch every episode of House. Chris and I started watching it when we got engaged. We're a little over halfway through Season 5 right now. The current season is 7, so I think we're doing pretty good at getting through it. Oh man I love House!

And the final show I'm hooked on is:

A lot of my friends aren't big fans of 24, but oh man do we love watching Jack Bauer in action! There were 8 seasons of 24 and Chris and I just started Season 7.

And not featured above, but still shows that we love: Man vs. Food, Lie to Me, Chuck, and The Office (although the most recent season is pretty lame and we haven't watched it all). And there you have it. TV shows that Marci loves.

day 13

Day 13 – Your favorite musician and why?

Dashboard Confessional

This is Chris Carabba, the voice behind Dashboard Confessional. Dashboard has only been my favorite for forever, basically. Pretty much since I grew out of my Backstreet Boys phase it's been all about Dashboard. My first concert was Dashboard and I passed out. It was such a great concert. I wrote a paper analyzing some of their songs my Junior year of High School.

I. LOVE. DASHBOARD.

3.25.2011

day 12

Day 12 – A photograph of the town you live in.

SAN ANTONIO!

This is a picture of The Tower of the America's which is very similar to The Space Needle. it's a little taller than the Space Needle, I found that out when we went there for dinner for my birthday! It's in downtown SA which we don't spend a ton of time in, so you have to deal with a picture from the internet instead of a picture I took myself. I just don't take lots of pictures of anything that would scream "this is san antonio", but maybe I should take a picture of our new H-E-B (grocery store). It's pretty sweet

3.24.2011

day 11

Day 11 – What’s in your makeup bag?

Wow. This is pretty exciting, I'm sure you all were dying for this one. Some mineral foundation, tweezers, a brush for my brows/lashes, bronzer, mascara (which I HATE this one, waiting for it to die so I can try something else), chapstick, eye lash curlers, and a trio of eye shadow (along with a blush that i've never used). And that is how I roll friends. Pretty simple, and almost all of it came from Walmart!

3.23.2011

day 10

Day 10 – A photo of our favorite place to eat.

This may seem kinda silly, but I prefer eating at home rather than eating out most of the time. Since being in San Antonio we've definitely tried some places out but we don't eat out a ton. Sometimes we eat on the couch and watch an episode of 24 or House, and sometimes we eat at the table. Last week we ate at the table at least twice because we fed the sister missionaries one day and had a friend come over another day. I think I just about always eat lunch at the table as well, so I guess my kitchen table is my favorite place to eat?

3.22.2011

day 9

Day 9 – A photo of the item you last purchased.

The last item that I purchased was tricky to remember. In the last few days we went grocery shopping and I was really hoping that our trip to Walmart wasn't my last purchase. Then I remembered this gem:

Spicy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus! Costco size! We went to Costco and walked out only buying $5.99 worth of hummus, I am so proud of us!
