Today is the 4th of July. It started like every 4th of July I can remember: raining. I worked for nine hours, and now I am watching some fireworks that are live in New York. Next I'm going to watch some fireworks in Boston because Neil Diamond is performing, and I like him.
Since I last blogged we had our family reunion which was excellent. I have now recovered from the lack of sleep that comes with having 6 little girls in your room and a room full of boys on the other side of the wall. I loved having the Aunt Marci Sleepover, but it feels nice to not get kicked or hit while I sleep. Teagan is like my new best friend, and I can't wait til he comes to BYU in about a year. I'm sure everybody else thought we were total dorks, especially as we hugged eachother goodbye (hopefully I'll have a picture of this in a few weeks once Traci gets back to the island).
Every summer since college started I have had a theme song. I think that during the reunion I found my theme song for this summer. Take A Chance On Me by Abba. I don't really want to explain it here, but it's great.
I'm down to a month and a week until I go back to Utah, which is crazy! I'm excited about the classes I'm taking in the fall, so I'm ready to go back!
I wish I had more to blog about, but pretty much I just work. Oh, the other day at work some kid pooped in the play land. Totally on purpose. She pulled down her pants, squated and pooped. The mom laughed. Julie cleaned it up. I wasn't there, thank goodness, but now we have a sign next to the register that says "Please have your children use the restroom before playing" That was exciting.

thats sick. i can't believe the mom laughed. i would have been seriously PO'ed. i would have made the mom clean it up. sounds like an awesome job marce :)
GORSS! That's just insane! But i'm glad you had a normal fourth, it didn't rain here! Isn't that amazing?!
Well, you're welcome to come to Boston and see Neil Diamond in person next year Marci (if he comes back to perform then). I got to see him perform live! I went to the one on July 3 instead of July 4 though because I had other engagements on the 4th.
So, that's really sick about the poop, but what's more disappointing is the mother's reaction. Absolutely not funny. If I were her I'd be embarrassed. Good thing the sign went up! You should put a post-script on it that reads: "If your child goes to the bathroom on the playset, here are the paper towels, Lysol, and plastic gloves. Enjoy cleaning it up or get your child potty-trained!"
