I had a goal to reorganize my pantry by Jan 1.
Little did I know I'd get the chance to do it tonight.
I went to the pantry to grab my new bag of brown sugar and found about 10-15 ants crawling around on the inside and outside of the bag, with little holes in the bag. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I hate ants. I think I'm ready to pack up the rest of our house and go buy a house. Tonight. Preferably a house that isn't like 50 years old with cracks and crevices everywhere in the kitchen.
I have gotten SUPER good at pulling everything out of my pantry though and piling them on the counter while simultaneously checking them for ants. Like WAY good at that. That's one of the awesome skills I've acquired since living here.
Well there goes me making an apple pie tonight. Guess that will just get to happen tomorrow, as I instead fill in gaps and cracks with some caulking. At least I got the satisfaction of watching Chris poison the heck out of the ants.

That's something I've never encountered thankfully. I hope I never do! Have fun caulking!
You have mad skills!
We had ants years ago. I was trying to remember how we got rid of them. I know when they are outside we just douse them with a gallon of soapy water and then are history. You probably wouldn't want to do that in your pantry though. Have an awesome Thanksgiving!

That really stinks Marci. Sorry those ants are back. Maybe you and Chris should get a contract with a local pest control company (or ask your landlord to) for quarterly interior and exterior spraying. Of course, you'll want to make sure that any interior spraying will be safe enough for you now that you're pregnant.
Traci has to deal with ants all the time. Only thing I can say, is better ants than mice??? You did have some excellent mouse adventures in Provo, as I recall!!!
Hey, Marci. That really does sound like a hard time to have ants in your home. But that will be good, if you take your time to get rid of ants no matter how annoying it is. By the way, I finally got a new post on my blog. I hope you'll love it.
