Marissa and I have gotten together a few times to bake but today was by far the best! Homemade english muffins are SOOOO tasty! Also, they are super simple and not too time consuming. Sure, there is the 45 minutes that you let the dough rise before you cook them, but that was a good time for us to talk/eat lunch. The recipe originally made 20 muffins, but we had three of us there so we wanted to make a few more than that. We changed it to be 36 servings but it made at least 50. I can definitely make a single batch for us and it will be perfect to last a few weeks after I stick some in the freezer.

I love having friends that like exploring new recipes, it is way more fun to try something new with someone else, sometimes it can be overwhelming trying something new on your own. We're getting together next month to make something else, we just haven't decided what yet. We also looked through a ton of Marissa's cookbooks and I am in love with the America's Test Kitchen Cookbook and want one really bad.

Homemade English muffins sound so good! I like the store bought ones with some Nutella on them. Yummy. :)
Thanks for the recipe. I will definitely be trying these soon. Dad has been on a binge of late, consuming many "store" English muffins. I would not have thought of cooking them in a skillet--that's what makes them the way they are instead of turning into a roll! Thanks again!
