A New Favorite.

Last night for dinner I made my first recipe from my new cookbook. This morning Chris is still talking about it. When we woke up he told me "that dinner from last night is one of my new favorites. It's even higher on my list than those Mexican Rice Bowls (which is saying a lot... he wants those all the time)." I love when something as simple as Skillet Baked Ziti is a new favorite. America's Test Kitchen doesn't share all their recipes online, and right now I don't feel like typing it up and sharing it with you, but let me tell you... fresh garlic, red pepper flakes, crushed tomatoes, ziti pasta, water, basil, parmesan, heavy cream and mozzarella are an INCREDIBLE combination. Also, the recipe was so simple, most everything goes into a large oven-safe skillet, simmers away on the stove, then you cover with the mozzarella and pop it in your oven for about 10 minutes (I only did 7) for the mozz to brown a little. Oh. My. Gosh. So easy and delicious.

Also. While this is on my mind. I am loving my new Garlic Press! I never thought there was anything wrong with a jar of minced garlic, but holy crap. The smell of fresh garlic after it goes through a garlic press, and then into a pan with some oil. AMAZING. Our house still smells a little like garlic. And we love it.

Thank you, America's Test Kitchen.

Ooh yes! The smell of fresh garlic. Lemon zest is another favorite for me. I would love that recipe if you ever have the time to type it out. :-D
