Friday was good

Friday was a pretty good day.

-I loved my first class of the day, I normally love Family Finance, but yesterday it was just pretty sweet.
-I saw my friend Steven and he told me that he got his mission call! He's going to Japan and he's so excited. I'm excited for him!
-I went to Stats and I actually understood it! We were reviewing for our test that is next week. I think it might end up being okay.
-I went to the temple with Allison. The older men that work at the temple are so cute! They were making us laugh so much. I had a great experience at the temple. I flipped my scriptures open and it went to D&C 6:15. That was the answer I was going to the temple for.
-As Allison & I walked home we ran into Kristina who used to be in our group of 6 RAs. She left our group in January because her health was getting bad, and I hadn't seen her since then. It was SO good to see her again, she's doing so much better now!
-As we continued walking, we walked past Kimball Hall where someone was opening his mission call, so we popped in to watch. Romania! I don't even know the kid, but it was cool to watch anyway!
-I ran to the testing center to get my test in my hand by 5 so I didn't have to pay a late fee. I got the test at 4:57. I was proud. I even did really well on the test!
-I came home from that and finished my redos for cleaning checks. They were fabulous, which made me really happy.
-I got ready to go out to dinner with my roommate Kourtney. She's in a wheelchair this weekend and we wanted to see how people would treat us differently. The guy at Panda Express made us laugh really hard, and he didn't even know it.
-We came home from dinner and I stole her wheel chair for a little while. I can pop wheelies in it, it was pretty sweet. I even learned how to turn it in our very narrow hallway. It was fun for about 5 minutes, but I'm sure if I was in a wheel chair long term it wouldn't be so fun. It gets tiring, my arms were sore after just 5minutes of riding in it.
-We got ready and we went out with Kiley to get dessert, and we met up with Kourt's brother and his friend. We had a fabulous time
-We came home and started Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. It's one of our favorite movies. I left after it was like 30 minutes into the movie and went to bed.

And that my friends, is why Friday was such a great day.

So far my Saturday has been pretty good. I woke up around 11:20, and haven't really done anything productive yet. But here is what I have to look forward to today:

-homework
-the Draper Temple Open House
-writing my talk for church tomorrow
-stalking the mailman with high hopes

What's with Kortney, being in a wheelchair for just a weekend? And how exciting to be heading to the Draper Temple Open House on Saturday. After five inches of snow Friday night, we had a number of no-show's at the Temple because of trecherous road conditions. I left anyway and went to our Mini Youth Conference (an hour's drive away in Macomb). It was great. I'll blog about it tomorrow. Now it's time to get ready for Church and then have dinner at Aunt Kathy's house. Love you tons! Mom

Kourt was in a wheelchair for her Accessible Recreation class. She got to go places and see if they were accessible to someone in a wheelchair, and see how differently people treat you when you're in a wheel chair. It was really interesting.

So i looked up D&C 6:15 and while I'm sad about the decision, I'm glad that you were so inspired. That's what the temple is for. You're pretty much amazing. :)
